Oakland Ed Fund Winter School Supply Drive

Ends January 31, 2018

This winter, Oakland Unified School District must make around $15.1 million in unanticipated deep cuts to close a budget deficit. District leaders share a commitment to minimize impact on students, but schools are already stretching dollars as far as they can. You can read more about the situation here.

Many of you have asked how you can help, and specifically how you might donate supplies to the schools impacted the most. Through our partnership with Roonga, we've organized this selection of the materials that are most in demand. Through the generosity of caring community members like you, we hope to support at least 15 schools with supplemental supplies that will help them stretch their budgets through the end of the year. We'll prioritize those schools serving large numbers of socio-economically disadvantaged children, foster youth, special education students, and English Language Learners.

As with previous drives, our partner Give Something Back will care of the delivery, ensuring that the supplies are available as quickly as possible to the public schools that need them.

Thank you for supporting Oakland schools!
