Oakland Ed Fund Winter School Supply Drive

Ends January 31, 2018

The Oakland Unified School District Board of Education passed a Resolution on December 13, 2017 that will result in $9 million in unanticipated deep cuts to close a budget deficit. A significant portion of those cuts will impact each of the 85 public school site budgets. District leaders, parents and community members share a commitment to minimize the impact on students, but schools are already stretching dollars as far as they can.

Many of you have asked how you can help, and specifically how you might donate supplies to the schools impacted the most. Through our partnership with Roonga, we've organized this selection of the materials that are most in demand. Between now and January 31, 2018, through the generosity of caring community members like you, we are aiming to support schools across Oakland with supplemental supplies that will help them stretch their budgets through the end of the year.

We'll prioritize those schools serving large numbers of socio-economically disadvantaged children, foster youth, special education students, and English Language Learners. For a complete list of OUSD schools listed by Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) and for more information on how we prioritize distribution, click here.

As with previous drives, our partner Give Something Back will take care of the delivery, ensuring that the supplies are available as quickly as possible to the public schools that need them.

The more supplies you purchase, the more schools we can help! Thank you for supporting Oakland schools!
