Alameda Council of Boy Scouts of America

The Alameda Council, Boy Scouts of America, has a 93 year history of helping shape and mold the values and character of youth and adults in Alameda. Being prepared means having the ability to deal with the many tough challenges life presents - and that’s what Scouting is all about. We collaborate with local organizations like schools and churches to provide resources to our youth as well as the community at large. Scouting provides the following programs which currently serve 3,020 (over 52%) total youth of Scouting age in Alameda. 40% of our membership is female, making the Alameda Council, BSA, the largest youth serving co-educational program in town.
