Back-to-School Supply Drive
Ended August 02, 2016
For some children and families, beginning the school year with a new backpack filled with essentials for classroom success is an annual tradition. It’s not if there will be new supplies, but where shall we go to buy all of the items on the long list from the school.
For other children, new backpacks, basic school supplies, are an uncertainty. Children growing up in the state’s child welfare system such as foster care or group homes, families with a child with a disability who face overwhelming medical bills, families who live with poverty…for these children and families starting the school year on the right foot may be out of reach.
Jewish Child & Family Services wants to ensure that our youngest clients-- as many as 450 children and youth served by our residential group homes, foster care, counseling and respite in-home services-- experience the joy of a new backpack overflowing with school supplies.
You can help make a difference for these children.
